Use your outline you created, to begin writing your paper in Step 3 for a structured paper.
Begin writing a first draft
- Review the draft for proofreading/grammar errors
- Read the draft out loud to check for awkward sentences, errors, and checking the paper connects together with smooth transitions and more
- Read the paper backwards to check for errors and improving the paper
- Have others read and provide feedback to the paper
Proofreading Tips
- Utilize different sentence structures
- Check for spelling errors
- Avoid "to be" verbs
- Use action verbs
- Avoid passive verbs
- Avoid repeating words
- Utilize synonyms to avoid word repetition
