How to purchase print textbooks out of pocket:

E-books are included in the tuition for ESL, VESL, and Post-Advanced EAP programs for the Fall 2020 term. Some students may choose to pay for paper copies of books. Purchasing paper copies of books is NOT required.

Notes about purchasing paper copies of books:

  • MCC does NOT cover the cost of paper books for the Fall 2020 term. E-books are included in tuition.
  • Students cannot exchange an e-book code for a paper copy of a book.
  • Paper books are not available for purchase through MCC.
  • Students who wish to purchase paper copies of books must buy them from the publisher or through a third party alternative book seller such as Amazon, eBay, or others.
  • Students that purchase used copies of books should NOT have any writing inside. We recommend contacting the seller directly to make sure there is no writing inside the book.

How to Purchase Textbooks from an Alternative Book Seller:

  1. Click on the name of your class. This tab will provide information on the book for your class: title and ISBN.
  2. Go to the alternative book seller of your choice (Amazon, eBay, or other)
  3. Search for the ISBN on the book seller’s website.
  4. You may purchase the book new or used. If purchasing a used book, make sure there is NO writing inside the book. We recommend contacting the seller directly to make sure there is no writing inside the book.

How to Purchase Textbooks from the Publisher:

  1. Click on the name of your class. This tab will provide information on the book for your class: title and ISBN.
  2. Call the following number: (800) 354-9706.
  3. Provide the representative with the following information:
    • Your name
    • The ISBN of the textbook you would like to purchase
    • Billing and shipping address
    • Email address
    • Credit card information
