Navigating D2L Brightspace

1. Home - Returns you to the MCC homepage in D2L Brightspace. 
2. Course Selector - Use the course selector to search and access the courses you are enrolled in.
3. Messages - Notifies you about unread mail and instant messages from instructors or students
4. Subscription Alerts - Notifies you about new posts, subscribed discussion forums, topics, and threads.
5. Update Alerts - Notifies you about new and updated announcements, due dates and end dates, and grades.
6. Username - Allows you to make changes to your user profile, notifications, account settings, and log out.
7. Navbar - Provides links to Student and Faculty Resources, Feedback, and Brightspace Support Request
8. Course Selector Tile – Provides a tile view of all courses a user is enrolled in.
9. Announcements – Contains MCC Community-wide announcements.
10. Calendar Widget – Contains any MCC upcoming events.
11. Career Services Widget – Highlights placement and other Career Services announcements.

1. Inside the course

2. Course Name – the course currently being viewed.
3. Course Selector - Use the course selector to search and access the courses you are enrolled in.
   1. Depending in the user, some courses can be pinned for easy access (see below)

4. Messages - Notifies you about unread mail and instant messages from instructors or students
5. Subscription Alerts - Notifies you about new posts, subscribed discussion forums, topics, and threads.
6. Update Alerts - Notifies you about new and updated announcements, due dates and end dates, and grades.
7. Username - Allows you to make changes to your user profile, notifications, account settings, and log out.
8. Navbar - Provides links to course-specific tools, for example, Virtual Classroom, Assignments, and Quizzes. 
   1. Click on Content to access the lessons/modules of the course.
   2. Collapse each item on the left to view materials/links (see below)
