Instructor Guide to D2L: Setting up a Virtual Class

 

Creating Virtual Classroom Sessions


1.    Login to your D2L Account and open your course.
2.    Choose Virtual Classroom from the Navbar.

3.    Click the Red + button in the bottom right corner to add a new virtual Meeting.

4.    Name the virtual setting with the Date and Class Title.

5.    Choose the calendar date and set the start time of the virtual session. 

6.    Set the remaining meeting settings.

  • Max Duration should be 240 minutes
  • Click Automatically record meeting
  • Click allow external participants
  • Click Save


7.    When the meeting is completed return to the Virtual Classroom area.

  •  Locate the most recent class and click on the 3-dot menu on the right side.
  • Select Attendance > Click Export Attendance
  • Save the .csv to your desktop
  • Open the .csv with Excel.
  • Enter the attendance in GradPro
