Microsoft Word Tips
Tip One:
- Highlight your quote
- Right Click and select ‘paragraph’
- Once you see a box, under Indentation
- choose special.
- Under ‘Special’ select ‘Hanging’
- under ‘by’ change the number to ‘.5’
- Once you are done click ‘OK”
- Your long quotation is moved a ½ inch from the left (The lines are moved more to the right.)
Tip Two:
- Place the Curser in front of the 1st word of the quote
- Select Backspace
- Select Enter
- Select Tab. The first line has been moved 1 inch to the right
- Place the cursor in front of the second line and select tab
- Your entire quote has been moved 1 inch to the right
