INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES: CPT

Note: If applying for CPT in your first term of a program at Midwestern Career College, please check your eligibility by emailing dso@mccollege.edu. You need to have fulfilled two requirements for first term CPT: 

1. You have completed one academic year as an F-1 student. At MCC, this is two terms in an associates degree program, or 3 terms in the ESL program. Please contact the MCC DSO office if you have questions about this requirement. 
2. You have earned sufficient credits towards your degree. This is the equivalent of completing your first term in your associates program. You need to have earned 9 core and/or foundation credits (available to view in the catalog). General education courses do not count towards CPT eligibility. To check if you meet the 9 credits eligibility requirement, get your official transcript evaluated. Instructions are on the Registrar's Office Portal page link here.
